VULKEM® 616
A general purpose sealant suited for the cargo container and truck trailer body.
It is tough, non brittle and bonds firmly to aluminum, wood or fiberglass.
Prevents water penetration in fillet joints used in flat repairs.
VULKEM® 626
An elastromeric sealant ideal for moving joints. It exhibits excellent adhesion
characteristics and is widely used in the boating, log home and railcar industry where a
waterproof environment is critical.
VULKEM® 636
An excellent smooth finish sealant with high gloss properties. It posses many of the
superior sealing and adhesion properties of Vulkem 616 and 626. In addition, it has low
modulus properties which makes it well suited for high impact and continous vibration
environments.

Eliminating Hot Melt Adhesive Char

INNOVATIVE HOT MELT-ON DEMAND SYSTEM PROCESS
VIRTUALLY ELIMINATES CHARRING PROBLEMS

CHAR...IT PLUGS NOZZLES, INHIBITS BOND QUALITY, REDUCES PLANT PRODUCTIVITY.
IT’S TROUBLESOME. IT’S PERSISTENT. BUT IT IS NOT INEVITABLE.

As heat is applied to solid adhesive, complex polymers begin to break down and degrade, and continue to do so as temperature and time increase. Maintaining adhesives at high temperatures in the presence of oxygen causes charring. The answer is clear . Control the heat. Control the presence of oxygen at high adhesive temperatures. Don’t melt it until you need it.

THE DYNATEC ADVANTAGE
1.Unique melt-on-demand process virtually eliminates charring problems
2.Specific models can be expanded rather than replaced.
3.Melt grids provide higher adhesive delivery rates with less power consumption.
4.Seperate gear pumps for each output.
5.Precision metered outputs.
6.No flushing of system required

ITW Dynatec designed the solution accordingly, creating the industry’s only First/
InFirst/Out Melt-On-Demand System.
It’s unique process that provides controlled gradual heating and prevents char formation by maintaining three essential conditions...temperature stability in each melt zone; reduction of heat transfer from one zone to another and isolation of adhesives at high temperatures from oxygen.
